About the role

Here at DS Smith we are looking for a highly skilled HR Business Partner who will provide support and expertise to our Retail Marketing business.

  • Retail Marketing services an array of established household brands and innovative market challengers
  • We work across strategy, creative, structural design, production, co-packing and logistics
  • We help brands to land in-store with displays that maximise shopper convenience and fully utilise recyclable materials
  • The 3 Retail Marketing sites are located in the South East (Aylesford, Ely, and London)

We'll be asking you to use your experience and passion for HR to support on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, instilling functional excellence and a continuous improvement mindset into our people processes. You'll take the lead when providing counsel on managing, mediating and facilitating sensitive employee relations matters, and will provide meaningful advice and guidance, focusing on:

Strategic change is also a priority in this role, giving you the opportunity to collaborate with the Retail Marketing Leadership Team to deliver effective change management, adding value to our People Strategy and helping to develop a productive and dynamic culture.

About you

  • Experience of operating as a HR Business Partner in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience of coaching managers in delivering HR related activities
  • Up to date, comprehensive knowledge of HR best practice and employment legislation
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Tools - particularly Excel and Word
  • Multi-site experience, ideally in Manufacturing, FMCG, or Logistics
  • Ability to think both operationally and strategically

Preferred requirements:

  • CIPD Level 7 or equivalent experience
