The HR Manager will deliver the business HR strategy across two site - one North East-based, one Scotland-based, as well as providing operational support on all people-related matters in line with business priorities and objectives.

The HR Manager will work as part of the wider HR team to drive an efficient operational service to the business, which is aligned with the overall HR vision and in support of local People plans.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing support to the delivery of people activities across assigned business areas whilst working with key managers to plan people-related initiatives
  • Work in partnership with the senior managers across assigned business areas to support the development and delivery of people and training plans
  • Deliver a seamless and efficient operational service to the business specifically in relation to recruitment, training, and reward
  • Support managers in the planning and implementation of business change and organisation restructures, including TUPE and redundancy
  • Provide an advisory service to the business on ER casework, mainly complex cases and potential dismissals
  • Ensure the fair application of HR policies and procedures including disciplinary, grievance absence management, performance management and reward/ recognition
  • Provide guidance and advice to managers and supervisors
  • Support and implement efficient attraction, recruitment and selection activities
  • Work with managers to identify learning needs and provide coaching support and solutions
  • Drive talent and succession planning initiatives across assigned business areas
  • Deliver skills-based workshops for managers on people related processes such as disciplinary and absence management
  • Facilitate new starter induction programmes across assigned business areas to support retention and onboarding initiatives
  • Ensure that relevant HR forms are completed and submitted in a timely and accurate manner
  • Coordinate HR projects across all business areas

Profile

  • A degree or qualification in Human Resources Management e.g. CIPD
  • Solid generalist experience in HR
  • Previous experience working in Manufacturing, Logistics or a fast-paced Retail environment
  • Previous experience in a HR Manager role
  • Flexible and willing to travel between the 2 sites in the North East and Scotland
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Hands on experience of HR policies and ER processes
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employee legislation
  • Experience of driving HR initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and influencing capabilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills

Job Offer

  • Salary £55,000 per annum, plus 5% company bonus
