My national client is seeking an experienced Payroll Team Manager to join their Shared Service centre in West Yorkshire to lead and develop a payroll team of 8. Supporting a payroll headcount of c10,000 you will coach, develop and motivate the team to deliver a timely and accurate payroll service.

Reporting into the Head of HR, alongside being responsible for the monthly and EOY payroll processing and ensuring the payroll is accurate and for all reconciliations and annual reporting and submissions, you will also act as Subject Matter Expert in any integration activity, providing guidance and expert input into decision making. The role will also work with Internal and External auditors to ensure compliance and effective governance.

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in leading, engaging and developing a payroll team and possess the proven ability to develop a professional payroll function which is scalable & flexible to meet the company needs. You will have strong interpersonal skills, including persuasive written and oral communication skills and preferably coming from a shared services or similar background, you will have strong stakeholder management skills and experience of working with international/diverse payroll and European language skills would be ideal.
