I have partnered with a global FinTech organisation in their search for a newly created Global HR Business Partner position to have oversight across multiple positions. This role is a true generalist opportunity looking after a client base of approx.. 400 employees & acting as the Deputy Head of HR for EMEA. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience in a fast paced & global position within Financial Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with the Executive member and their senior management teams for their respective business segments.
  • Coaches, leads and develops a team/ community of HR Business Partner(s) within the global HR team - working collaboratively on initiatives and sharing best practice.
  • Work closely with the Leads from the CoEs - Talent Acquisition, Reward & Payroll
  • Whilst we mobilize a Talent Management & Learning and Development function - lead or co-create frameworks to support the development and retention of employees.
  • Strong appreciation and understanding of the SMCR agenda.
  • Advise on more complex/non-standard aspects of the employee life cycle
  • Advise senior management on organizational design, and development
  • Advise senior management on employee relations matters relating to performance/capability, conduct, and employee grievances
  • Contribute to the design, roll-out and ongoing management of the Company's Performance Management & Compensation module in Oracle
  • Manages the annual compensation review
  • Ability to drive culture change through strong stakeholder engagement
  • Advise on internal transfers, promotions, and expatriate secondments
  • Work with senior management on talent management and succession planning
  • Work with Global Head of HR and Global HRBPs to identify and prioritize HR projects for the Company as a whole and/or global business and/or region
  • Conduct performance appraisals for HR direct reports

Skills:

  • Holds a CIPD qualification/ Degree or has equivalent experience
  • Ideal candidate must have extensive experience of working within a regulated environment and a sound technical knowledge of SMCR
  • Solid HR experience operating at a senior level, managing/advising on all core HR matters, including non-standard recruitment, UK employment law (including dismissals, TUPE transfers, disciplinaries and grievances), compensation & benefits, performance management, employee development/talent management etc.
  • Leadership presence, with proven track record of building working relationships with senior business leaders
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to persuade and influence management through verbal and written communication
  • Experience of managing or supervising a team of less experienced HR Business Partners and admin staff
  • Experience of managing projects through change and uncertainty
  • Strong attention to detail and proven track record of flawless execution
  • Experienced user of HR systems, as well as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of challenges of operating within a global environment, building alignment globally while executing locally
  • Experience managing/leading a team, either directly or as project manager
  • Detailed knowledge of GDPR and its application within the UK and Europe; knowledge of IR35 requirements
