Senior L&D Manager, EMEA

Oakleaf are supporting this Law Firm to find an addition to their Global L&D team

As a senior member of the Global Learning & Development Team, you will support them to deliver on the 2025 vision of a distinctive client experience that sets us apart. You will provide visible, engaging and supportive leadership to our team of Talent and Learning specialists.

You will:

• Provide an exceptional employee experience that delivers on the EVP, helping them to attract, develop and retain the best lawyers and professionals.
• Support the Firm's diversity, equity and inclusion objectives to drive a shared purpose of inclusion among all our people
• Align leadership, business, professional and legal skills training in a cohesive programme supporting Firm strategy and delivering a distinctive client experience.
• You will be responsible for managing key L&D resources, programmes and processes, and advising and supporting Partners, Business Services Leaders, Professional Support Lawyers and the L&D team in the successful delivery of training and L&D services at key stages of the employee lifecycle within the EMEA region.
• You will work closely with the EMEA and global Learning & Development team colleagues, and a wide range of stakeholders, including Partners and Regional Section Heads, Business Services Leaders, the Office of the General Counsel, Professional Support Lawyers, external training providers and coaches.
• You will have excellent client relationship and people management skills, and outstanding professional presence. You will be responsible for leading strategy for the region and managing complex stakeholder relationships both within the function and cross-functionally to support the delivery of L&D activities in EMEA.
• Line manage the EMEA L&D team

What they are looking for:

A seasoned L&D professional with at least 8 years' learning and development experience gained ideally within a law firm or wider professional services, and proven expertise gained through training design, delivery and coaching.

• Excellent presentation, facilitation and delivery skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; fluency in at least one other European language is desirable
