Reward Consultant

  • Permanent
  • Base salary: £51,646 FTE
  • Excellent Commission Scheme
  • 30% Pension (9% employee / 21% employer)
  • Location: Remote (UK)
  • Full or part time available (0.6 - 1.0 FTE)
  • Will require occasional travel to client sites

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Total Reward Specialist to join an exciting Reward Consultancy business on either a full or part time basis. The business provides the highest level of reward consultancy service to higher education institutions across the UK.

The Reward Consultant responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with and support universities and colleges on matters of compensation and benefits
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Provide an exceptional service, working with and educating clients on reward
  • Perform job evaluations and help clients understand how they value roles in their organisation.
  • Support clients in developing a strong and robust job grading structure.
  • Support clients in talent management, succession planning, wellbeing
  • Support in mergers and consult from a reward perspective. Work on harmonisation projects and pay grading
  • Assist in reporting needs, gender pay gap, equal pay audits, living wage
  • Support in reward work with unions
  • Provide reward training sessions for clients

What you must have:

  • Strong total reward experience with particular strengths in job evaluation and grading
  • Experience in a reward consulting role desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to remain confident and credible when meeting with senior leaders such as HRD's
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Training experience desirable but not essential
  • Be willing to undertake occassional travel to client sites
