Accountabilities

  • Lead the execution of the employee relations strategy across the organisation
  • Provide effective ER leadership
  • As the subject matter expert for employee relations, you will be the 'go to' person for senior leaders, managers and HR colleagues requiring support or intervention at a complex level
  • Through effective coaching and influencing, enhance capability and encourage behavioural change
  • Partnering with L&D colleagues to collaborate on training and development opportunities for managers, employees and senior leaders
  • Ensure a robust case management process is rolled out and maintained consistently across the board


Experience & Skills Required

  • CIPD or equivalent relevant qualification in Employment Law
  • Passionate and committed to keep up to date with changes to case law, legislation and practices
  • Deep exposure and experience within an Employee Relations specialist role, ideally within a complex or highly regulated, unionised environment
  • Experience of driving change behaviour and capability improvement across a multi-disciplined organisation
  • Experience of delivering coaching sessions to a mixed ability group including those outside of HR
  • Sector experience within Charity/Care sector, not essential but a huge advantage
  • Awareness and understanding of the end-to-end process of a case's going to tribunal (please note, this role focuses on preventing ET cases rather than managing them, we just feel it would be important theoretical knowledge to have as a SME)
