I am partnering with a leading specialist asset manager, with an investment process that is underpinned by sustainability believing that investment has the power to grow and protect wealth in a way that benefits all. My client has some 35 years under their belt with investors from around the world entrusting them to manage their assets, which amount to c£20 billion to-date on behalf of private clients, intermediaries, charities, and institutions. They are in growth mode with recent M&A activity within the investment management space.
This newly created role reporting into the Head of HR will have a remit across the entire internal employee population of c250 FTE with most employees based in the UK along with a small number overseas. As Senior HR Manager you will lead the core HR team (of 5) across the end-to-end HR life cycle daily to ensure the team are solutions focussed and deliver a quality output. Whilst you will support the HRD from a strategic people plan perspective this role is very much hands on, responsible for operational excellence, implementing effective policies and procedures, ER, performance management, talent acquisition, remuneration, compensation, MI and implementation and execution of projects and relevant processes. You will also act as 2IC to the Head of HR as and when required such as being a delegate on various committees. As a summary this role is seen 50% leadership and operational output across BAU and 50% related to operational excellence to ensure the HR platform and offering into the business is fit for purpose.
To be considered for this role you will have financial services HR experience along with proven leadership experience along with partnering at the leadership team level, be relationship driven and have a flexible approach to your working style to ensure results are achieved and with speed. You will have led or managed projects as well as executing on strategic initiatives with a focus to ensure buy in and embedment in the business. You will be relationship driven, bring natural gravitas to the table to influence outcomes along with being commercially led whilst having a pragmatic overlay. As the HR team is small you will be highly collaborative and enjoy a team environment but know when to take the leadership role.
