Head Cashier

Head Cashier/ Permanent/ Full time - Uxbridge based / c£40k.
 
Ashley Kate are delighted to be supporting a great business as they look to recruit a Head Cashier on a permanent basis. The role will be office based for the first 3-6 months with hybrid working available after.
 
The purpose of the role is to manage the provision of a complete finance service to the business. Reporting into the Finance Director, you will oversee the cashiering function and be a pivotal interface between the cashiering team and internal stakeholders. Your primary role will be to ensure that work flow is managed efficiently.
 
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
 
- Responsibility for the operation of the firm's client and office bank accounts including timely bank reconciliations, monitoring of receipts and authorising payments.
- Ensure that systems and procedures comply with SRA rules and practises; reporting and monitoring breaches and be pro active in recommending changes.
- Responsibility for the smooth running of the month end process.
- To manage the accounts team. - Team of 4.
- Manage and liaise with auditors in respect of the annual SARs audit.
 
We are looking for:
 
- Proven technical experience within a legal cashiering role.
- Strong experience with management, gained within a cashiering role.
- Member of the ILFM.
- Up to date and thorough working knowledge of both the SRA rules and AML regulations.
- IT literate using MS Excel, Outlook, MS word and knowledge of financial reporting systems.
