This is an exciting time for the HR Directorate. We are shaping our growing team to ensure we can deliver our recently launched People Enabling Strategy and continue to drive an excellent service provision for our colleagues.

We are seeking to recruit an outstanding individual to join us in the new role of Deputy Director of Human Resources. Reporting to our HR Director and part of the Directorate’s senior management team, the role holder will be responsible for delivering key HR services and ensuring that these promote employee engagement and support the strategic priorities of the University. They will contribute to the development of a HR function to deliver the University strategy and the People Enabling Strategy.

As an individual, you will be a credible senior HR professional with the gravitas to influence senior stakeholders and motivate staff. You will be an effective leader, with an inclusive, collaborative mind-set and will play a significant role in driving-up professional practice standards and focus on the continual improvement of aligning HR service priorities with the strategic aims of the University. You will be innovative with a strategic mind-set and can-do attitude enabling the collective ownership of HR practices, priorities and team culture.

You will be acknowledged for successfully leading HR projects, facilitating change positively and empathetically to enable the University to remain a force for good and fit for the future.
