Job Details
Working as part of a busy HR team, the Regional HR Advisor will report directly into the HR Business Partner and will provide an efficient, generalist HR service across a number of business areas across the North East of England, Scotland and Cumbria. The Regional HR Advisor will be the first point of contact for all HR business activities within their business areas and will work closely with key stakeholders to deliver HR projects.

Description
Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with the HR Business Partner to support the delivery of the People plan, in line with business goals and objectives
- Support business improvements in areas such as operational efficiency, absence management, ER case reduction, legal and best practice compliance and increasing line manager capability
- Provide advice to Management on dispute resolution and employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance handling
- Provide HR support and take notes in all employee hearings, meetings and reviews
- Support Management and the HR Business Partner at complex hearings, restructure and redundancy consultations, and changes to employment terms and conditions
- Engage with employee representatives and Trade Union officials
- Coordinate Regional recruitment campaigns
- Monitor adherence to HR standards and processes and advise Management on key process improvements
- Use people metric reports to identify corrective and preventative action in support of operational efficiency
Profile
- Generalist HR experience
- Previous experience in a HR Advisor role
- CIPD qualified - Level 5 or equivalent qualification
- Excellent knowledge of a broad range of ER issues
- Hands-on experience of dealing with ER issues
- Excellent knowledge and practical application of current UK employment law procedures and processes
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage a busy work portfolio
- Developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence senior management on HR-related activities
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to deliver training courses
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Flexible and willing to travel regularly across the North East of England, Scotland and Cumbria
- Willing to travel across the UK on an ad hoc basis
