I am delighted to be partnering exclusively with Aquavista Marinas, a growing and developing leisure business, based in the East Midlands, with a network of Marinas across the UK.

Aquavista are post-acquisition and now firmly building for further growth in what will be an exciting phase of their strategy.

The Senior Leadership Team and Directors are perfectly poised to drive this success, and the next piece of the jigsaw is an HR Manager who can work with them to build and establish a best in class People strategy.

The role will be a generalist one, and will have two direct reports. Tasks will include all the normal HR activities, including recruitment, engagement and retention strategies, ER management, succession planning, providing HR guidance and working on policies and procedures.

In addition this person will need to support the development of management capability, using effective coaching and mentoring. They will also work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

This is a superb opportunity to shape a business's people strategy, and enjoy the autonomy that comes with that. As such we are looking for someone who is an established HR professional, and has experience of people management. You will need to be comfortable with all aspects of generalist HR, and be equally comfortable in a smaller business.

This role would suit someone from leisure, hospitality or retail background who is looking for a better work/life balance, or more autonomy in a smaller company. The ideal candidate will be adept at building all levels of relationships, influencing and communicating at all levels, and driving change through an organisation. Any experience of TUPE, acquisition or integration will be a huge bonus as these situations will undoubtedly arise in the future.

The role offers hybrid working, with some travel to the various UK sites as the role demands. The salary is competitive and the package equally so. The view from the waterside office is second to none.

Commutable from Nottinghamshire, West Midlands, Leicestershire and surrounding areas.
