Macmillan Davies are partnering with a leading UK multi-site Organisation in their search for an experienced Talent Manager to lead the people development and recruitment function.

Reporting into a proactive and dedicated HR Director and managing a small team, this is a newly created role where you will be accountable for shaping the strategy and implementing solutions to support with the end to end colleague journey from attraction through to succession planning.

Core duties will include:

Managing the creation, design, delivery and evaluation of companywide training programmes including induction, apprenticeship, soft/technical skills and management development.

Implementation, development and overseeing of an e-learning platform and creating key training KPI's for the wider business.

Formation of career pathways to support employees and working with the wider business on future role requirements.

Work in partnership with Internal and External stakeholders to provide, advise, direct and support with the recruitment strategy, providing a consistent and valid assessment process.

Initiate new methods of reach, integrating recruitment with marketing by leveraging innovative attraction programmes with colleges, local communicates and targeted social media campaigns.


The successful candidate will be from an L&D background and possess either current or previous recruitment/resourcing experience. You will enjoy managing and developing the full TNA cycle with the ability to influence stakeholders and provide a consistent recruitment and training experience across the business. Experience in leading on implementing an e-learning platform is essential, as is the drive to align performance to support the overall business direction, goals and objective plans within a commercial and sometimes ambiguous environment.

In return, my client is offering a salary of c£55,000 + car allowance and a hybrid working pattern of 2 days office (near Wigan) and 3 days home. There may also be occasional national travel to their other sites.
