I am supporting a pioneering creative business in hiring their first HR Director, the organisation gained PE funding in 2021 further spearheading their entry into new markets either via organic or M&A growth. Internationally renowned as a leading ArchVis studio the business employee circa 50 staff across the UK and US with their state of the art studio in the centre of London.
Reporting in the CEO this role will take on all aspects of the employee lifecycle playing close attention to the attraction and development of talent. This is a people centric organisation as such driving a collaborative, high performance culture will be key to their success. Given the nature of their work the studio's form the bedrock of their working environment, resulting in the organisation passionately believing in working together physically in the studio. Whilst aspects of home working can be supported, most of the time this role will be required to be onsite. The organisation has already invested in some HRtech and LMS provisions however initially this role would be standalone. As the organisations grows their will be further investment into the team however this role will need to start that journey.
This is a hugely exciting role for a talented HR professional to have a pathway into being a future CPO, the role will sit on the leadership team and work closely with the CEO to drive the people agenda. Experience of building and deploying an HR function would be valuable however equally this may be an attractive move for someone sat in a larger organisation seeking more autonomy and scope both will be considered. A generalist HR professional with experience of business/client group facing work will be needed. Sector experience is not necessary however demonstrating an awareness of supporting creatives and technical staff will be required.
