People Partner - Royal Collection Trust


  • £50,000 - £55,000 + benefits

I am extremely pleased to be working with the Royal Household who are looking for a versatile and commercially-minded People Partner to support Royal Collection Trust. A department of the Royal Household, Royal Collection Trust is also an independent Charitable Trust which is self-funding via its commercial activities.

Royal Collection Trust looks after the Royal Collection - one of the most important art collections in the world - and manages the public opening of the official residences of Her Majesty the Queen. Through its work, from exhibitions and learning programmes to publications and retail, it aims to ensure that the Royal Collection and Palaces are valued and enjoyed by everyone.

  • Working in close partnership with the senior commercial team in this unique and world-renowned cultural heritage organisation.
  • As a true generalist, you'll support the delivery of strategic people plans to help meet ambitious commercial and charitable aims and support post-pandemic business recovery.
  • Joining a really colloborative and supportive HR team, you'll work closely with other People Partners, People Services, Talent Acquisition and OD to provide exceptional challenge, support and trusted advice.

  • This role will report into a Senior People and OD Manager.
  • You will predominately support the Board with the strategy and support change programmes, and will provide support across the department.
  • I's a busy department with lots of change and so you will need to provide sound guidance as well as hands-on support.
  • You will be supported by a People Advisor (specific people who work as part of a shared pool).

It's a really interesting role with an employee base of c350 people, increasing by 400-500 in the summer months. It covers curatorial, conservation and commercial activities - so everything from clock makers, paintings restorers and exhibitions specialists to ticket sales assistants, publishers and Warehouse operators spread over three main locations (London, Windsor and Edinburgh).

In the next 12 months there's likely to be a project to harmonise T&Cs across the front line teams, it would be really helpful if candidates had previous experience of this type of organisational change - and even better if Trade Unions were involved.
