The role of L&D Partner is to support the creation of a learning organisation driven by business needs. Development of a learning strategy by engaging across multiple business areas, identifying current and future needs and creating brilliant learning experiences for our people to grow their careers

Client Details

My client is a Manchester-based Financial/Professional Services organisation

Description

Reporting to the HR Director, the L&D Partner will be responsible for the full scope of learning activities across technical compliance, competence and behaviours. There is also responsibility for a small L&D team. The forming of strong relationships with key stakeholders is essential to ensuring alignment and successful delivery of learning initiatives.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Identify and assess the capability gaps and devise future focused learning & development strategies that build the critical skills needed for the future
  • Develop and deliver measurable learning experiences that drive performance, behavioural change and increase engagement
  • Influence and challenge stakeholders to raise the bar
  • Provide coaching & mentoring support
  • Facilitate learning workshops
  • Optimise people performance through supporting managers to build the right skills and capability to deliver business objectives
  • Support organisational change and key people initiatives
  • Support, challenge and advise leaders in all aspects of people development
  • Ensure the organisation has detailed career profiles for talent with enhanced development plans
  • Work with senior leaders to develop robust succession plans and career pathways - across the group
  • Champion mentoring and coaching programmes as part of people's development
  • Ensure development plans are in place and monitored regularly
  • Provide and monitor regular KPIs to evaluate learning activities in terms of learner experience and business impact, assessing the effectiveness of L&D and early careers activities, compliance, value for money, etc
  • Lead on the implementation of an LMS systems and maximising capability

Profile

The ideal candidate will be/have;

  • Demonstrable experience in Learning and Development, with knowledge of leadership development, team development, soft skills development and technical training
  • Coaching experience
  • Experienced trainer and facilitator competent to work at all levels including managers and leaders
  • Familiar with learning design and development tools as well as innovative learning tools
  • Experience of, or demonstrable understanding of early careers recruitment and talent development
  • Influencing and negotiation skills
  • CIPD Qualified to Level 5 or above/equivalent
