Job Details

As HR Manager your role will be to add value, lead the team and drive behavioural change across your customer group. You will be an inspirational people leader and passionate about service excellence.

Client Details

The business operate within the fast paced world of retail and hospitality, with head offices in Sheffield and a national network of over 100 stores across the UK. They have ambitions to double in size within the next 5 years.


The HR Manager will:

  • Lead a team of 6 HR operators in supporting the business with all employee lifecycle requirements
  • Review current policies and procedures, making improvements and developing a best in class approach
  • Develop SLA's for the HR ops team, working with business leaders to meet the demands of a fast paced retail environment
  • Working with regional stakeholders to coach and develop management capability and behaviours in support of a self service tier 1 approach.
  • Support the implementation of a new HR system
  • Strong Employee Relations experience and the ability to unpick and coach on escalations
  • Strong change management and relationship building experience
  • The ability to deputise for the HRD


To be successful in the HR Manager role you will:

Have operated at a similar level

Have excellent end to end generalist experience with the ability to add value to the employee life cycle

Have previous people management experience

Strong complex ER experience and coaching ability

MCIPD or equivalent would be desirable

Change experience and strong use of data/ systems to make recommendations for change
