Your new company
Hays is pleased to be partnering with one of the UK's leading manufacturers of precision engineered products, to appoint an HR Officer to join their team in Dungannon on a 9 month fixed term contract.

Your new role
As an HR Officer, you will report directly to the Managing Director and will be tasked with maintaining and developing a first-class HR service for our growing workforce which currently consists of over 80 employees. This is a great opportunity for someone in the early stages of their HR career who is keen to apply themselves in a fast-paced environment. The role is diverse and covers all areas of the HR remit which lends itself to offering an excellent experience within the HR field.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • End to end management of high-volume recruitment processes
  • Issuing and ensuring the return of new starter documents
  • Conducting the induction process
  • Accurate processing of starters and leavers
  • Provide high quality, professional HR advice to line managers
  • Support line managers in dealing professionally with disciplinary, grievance and performance management issues
  • Proactively monitor absence
  • Assist the accounts department in providing accurate payroll information
  • Generate HR reports and information as requested
  • Identify learning & development opportunities and arrange suitable training
  • Liaise with local schools and colleges as a representative of the company
  • Responsibility for maintaining the company training & review programmes
  • Maintenance of accurate records
  • Monitor and develop employee benefits administration
  • Contribute to the company's well-being and employee engagement strategy
  • Any other duties within reason and capability




What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree in Human Resources Management or other relevant area of study or QBE
  • Minimum of 2 years HR experience
  • Experienced in dealing with core HR issues including disciplinary matters
  • Strong experience in dealing with high volume recruitment
  • Well organised with ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines
  • Highly confidential
  • Awareness of relevant legislation and implications on employees and the business
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite and experienced with HR systems
