HR Advisor - Chesterfield - Site based


Your new company
This is a large and continually expanding manufacturing group with several sites in the UK. An exciting and continuously growing and developing organisation, which is part of a European Group - with industrial efficiency, company & people development and customer services at the heart of their values.

Your new role
Reporting into the Senior HR Advisor this role will be working in a generalist capacity and also assisting the Group roll out of various projects and initiatives.

Your duties will consist of the full remit of generalist HR work; from stake holder management, advising & coaching Business Leaders & Line Managers, assisting with change management and ER issues (including grievance / disciplinary processes, absence management etc). You will manage 1 HR Advisor and all the routine HR transactional/administrative duties of the business.

You will be able to act as the trusted "Advisor" to the business leaders, applying strong HR experience and expertise. Assisting the department to become a "proactive" HR provision - working closely with Managers and Leaders to empower them to be the best managers they can be to their teams (performance management, career development, employee relations etc).

In addition, you will get involved with the group's upgrade of the internal systems - to the UK business - for the HR department - developing KPIs and reports to better aid the business in making commercial and people decisions. The role will be "Site Based" - dealing with the main UK site and other smaller UK sites (travel to these sites is required but infrequent)

What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will ideally have previous HR generalist experience within a fast paced, or multi-site organisation - and ideally manufacturing, engineering or logistics background (or related/similar industry in the mix of white/ blue collar staff) Be CIPD Level 5 qualified as a minimum and/or hold a relevant degree HR or Business related degree.

What you'll get in return

  • Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5:15 pm

Fridays 8:30 am to 4:15pm.

  • 23 days holidays plus Bank Holidays (increasing with service length)
