A Financial Services firm based in the City of London seeks an Interim Reward Manager to provide deep subject matter knowledge, experience and expertise in Remuneration and Regulation to ensure the smooth running of that service and to continually improve the service. You will support the delivery and design of the annual salary and bonus review and manage the process for the remuneration design and performance assessment for senior management

Description

An Interim Reward Manager with the following accountabilities / responsibilities:

  • Executive Compensation: Manage and consult on the performance evaluation process and remuneration outcomes for senior management including all MRTs in our client's European businesses. Including managing the Award letters to impacted staff.] Currently only 1 staff member for FY19, will expand to 18 in FY20, and up to 80 in FY21.
  • Annual Review: Responsible for managing the delivery of the annual salary review, including engaging with key stakeholders to understand the challenges across the business to ensure that the Company is fair in the way it pays its staff and can attract and retain the people we need & who share our vision and values. Manage the delivery of the Annual Salary and Bonus review to ensure a smooth, consistent and fair process.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Responsible for the completion of the MRT table for the RPSQ
  • Material Risk Takers: Input into the MRT identification policies across the Region and implementation of agreed approach.
  • Balanced Scorecards: Responsible for consultation, design and calibration of balanced scorecards across the Group. Engaging with Finance functions, control functions and INEDs as applicable Reviewing with external advisors and consulting with internal stakeholders.
  • Deferrals: Management of the deferred pay model for our client across EMEA. Continued development of model for regulatory and policy changes, management of accruals reporting and management of the deferrals to ensure accurate and timely payment of all non-standard payments.
  • Bonus Modelling: Support and modelling for front office bonus funds, including forecasting of bonus outcomes and ongoing re-design in response to changing regulations and company governance.
  • Governance: Managing the drafting of the data and reports for our client's Branch Board and their Committees - especially Remuneration Committee
  • Policy: Support the Regulation and Governance reward manager by engaging with stakeholders to ensure that Group wide remuneration policies (including remuneration policy, severance policy, performance adjustment policy and guarantee policy) are communicated. Input into the development of policy as regulations change across the EMEA region.
  • Performance Adjustment: Act as secretary for the Performance Adjustment processes in the Group.
  • Projects: Participate in cross-departmental initiatives and develop compensation projects within the region.
  • Collaboration: To maintain relationships and work closely with international Business Partners and ensure that the local context and economics are included in any compensation decisions.

Profile

An Interim Reward Manager with the following knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment including Guarantees, Material Risk Takers, Remuneration Code and Senior Manager Regime
  • Proven track record in managing and delivering on key projects.
  • Strong understanding of bonus modelling.
  • Highly numerical and analytical with a high attention to detail
  • High level of competence liaising with senior stakeholders and understanding commercial considerations of reward.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively both up and across a hierarchy.
  • Able to explain complex financial data and communicate it in an easy way to understand
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong excel skills
  • Relevant reward experience as a Compensation Manager
  • Degree preferred, CIPD
