Oakleaf Partnership are currently recruiting for a Global Leadership & Capability Lead for our Client who are a large GLobal Healthcare Compay. This role is a Full Time Permanent opportunity. Working remotely with occasional travel into London.

This rols is accountable for bringing thought leadership and diverse thinking to influence the way the company re-imagine developing critical capabilities for transformation and making impactful change, including a focus on building leadership capability globally.


Partners with experts throughout the organisation, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust to design and build global capability plans together for the most critical capabilities, especially emerging needs across all levels of the organisation.

  • Utilise strong consultancy and development skills to influence and support global communities of expertise and build global standards for critical capabilities in the organisation using expertise in capability development.
  • Ensure the capability is defined clearly and has an easy-to-follow framework.
  • Lead with expertise on the talent and culture build and connect this alongside objectives, processes and technologies in a full capability plan.
  • Develop the learning and organisation development plan and engage the right communities to support across the People function.
  • Measure and make improvement year on year to specific capability plans

Creates "to scale" approach and applies this to designated existing programmes which have successfully run in one business area but can be re-designed and applied at scale quickly using expertise to adapt for larger audiences.

  • Clear communication of a blueprint for "to scale" capability development, using internal and external thought leadership where required.
  • Anticipate and translate the requirements that change from a local to global programme and establish and manage a roadmap, engaging all stakeholders and team colleagues (Learning Experience, Capability Delivery).
  • Monitor the launch, delivery and manage the evaluation strategy for "to scale" programmes.

Identifies solutions for senior leaders now and for the future with the creation of development interventions for senior leaders (SDF/GLT/cohorts from within this population) which deliver development experiences that build capability and drive performance through a clear leadership development strategy.

  • Aware of new and emerging themes both inside the organisation and outside that are relevant to leadership development to ensure we build the most effective development support.
  • Build and apply an iterative approach to all our global leadership programmes in terms of their design and effectiveness.
  • Lead the design phase to identify and build new leadership solutions and identify the best external partner/s to work with the organisation.

Provide thought leadership on capability and culture development

  • Provide strong thinking and build others awareness on external trends in learning and organisation development.
  • Contribute to colleagues work on standards for executive coaching and senior leader onboarding using relevant insights.
  • Help the organisation to connect behaviour and skill development of future and current senior leaders to strategic outcomes.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • A graduate-calibre individual, with a sound understanding of capability development and able to explain and turn a critical capability (ie Agile) into a robust capability plan alongside other experts.
  • Confident in knowledge and application of design to build capabilities but has the humility to work with others to form the solutions.
  • Experienced in a Centre of Excellence or consulting role with evidence of partnering and influencing multiple stakeholders across the business with an emphasis on achieving results and successful outcomes in learning and culture. Evidence of learning quickly about how a global group function role works effectively in the organisation environment.
  • Comfortable working across an international and diverse portfolio. High cultural awareness.
  • Passionate in working with others to build capability against prescribed frameworks. Wins trust of others quickly. Curious about the business areas and able to step into the shoes of their customers.
  • Demonstrable background in capability strategy development and delivering impactful change, particularly in reimagining leadership and culture.
  • Strong consultancy and design skills - can adapt approach to fit the needs but naturally utilizes human centred design principles to discover and uncover needs and design programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of the leadership development provider landscape globally and experience in partnering with other development providers to design.
