A Global Engineering Organisation are looking to recruit a Learning and Development Specialist. Hybrid working with 2 days a week in the office in Cheltenham.

Description

As the Learning and Development Specialist, you will lead the delivery of training of a global business transformation programme. Supporting the adoption of a business system solution through the design, implementation and support of effective user training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the training strategy for each project implementation
  • Own and create the content and rollout of the standard training curriculum
  • Line Manage a small team: Learning & Development Administrator and a BI Instructional Designer
  • A maintained technical Training Library & E-Learning Curriculum
  • Own the format and governance of training material
  • Assist with the change management for the local operating company staff
  • Facilitate translation of training documentation into local language
  • Support implementation and categorisation of business process by Operating Company size
  • Collaborate with technical systems owners to manage facilitating of training in appropriate system environments
  • Iterate training documentation as part of a continuous improvement process
  • Ensure that training completion rates as reported by the L&D Administrator are sufficient for project implementation success
  • Ensure that the training programme for each implementation is resourced sufficiently

Profile

As the Learning and Development Specialist you will have:

  • Experience with business change programmes
  • Experience with managing a full training life cycle
  • Experience with developing technical training material
  • Preferably two years of experience as a learning designer
  • Experience with delivering in-person and/or virtual classroom training helpful
  • Experience with developing training material from processes that are a 'Work In Progress' - i.e. at a testing stage
  • Previous experience in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and BI (Business Intelligence) Implementations
  • Experience designing/developing a variety of learning solutions
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards 9.2 ERP, MS Dynamics 365 CRM and/or Power BI advantageous
  • Knowledge of instructional design desirable
  • CIPD Qualification helpful
  • Ability to use test scripts / system demo's and run through processes in the system, and in turn, create training material
  • Ability to build strong, effective relationships with technical consultants and colleagues
