The Senior Manager - Strategic HR Projects (Workforce Planning) will be responsible for shaping and delivering the strategic workforce planning project.

My client is a leading Public Sector organisation based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Bring expertise to the strategic workforce planning project to enable delivery and embedding into business-as-usual activity
  • Provide a new perspective and creativity to the workforce planning change initiative
  • Identify, articulate, and quantify HR-related risks and implications, as well as associated benefits, to ensure compliance with best practice
  • Facilitate consultation and communication with relevant stakeholders including business leaders, trade union partners and external stakeholders
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships to support the delivery of the strategic workforce planning project
  • Work closely with the workforce planning specialist to ensure the development of outcomes are fit and technically sound
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the project impacts are effectively managed
  • Develop a stakeholder engagement plan that identifies user needs and clearly articulates the 'why' of the project
  • Work with the communications team to ensure effective project communications align with the HR narrative, to create consistent language and tone - to include organisation wide comms, FAQ's, letters, and Intranet messages
  • Ensuring cultural values are embedded in all activities to support ways of working
  • Ensure the project has clear hand offs to BAU and regular feedback loops to enable continuous improvement

Profile

  • HR generalist with experience across a range of HR disciplines
  • Expertise in the delivery of change programmes
  • Extensive experience within talent project delivery
  • Excellent knowledge of workforce planning
  • CIPD qualified with experience of working within a large HR/ People team
  • Ability to manage multiple complex high-level projects at the one time
  • Ability to identify risk, dependencies and aligned outcomes is essential
  • An innovative mindset and the ability to come up with creative solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder experience and the ability to manage multiple conflicting stakeholders
  • Experience of working in a matrix way across multiple projects
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to gain buy in on new projects and initiatives
  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of teams and disciplines
  • Demonstrate a solutions-focused approach when faced with challenges

Job Offer

  • Interim role - contracted until March 2023
  • £400 day rate
  • Hybrid working model
