Description

You will ensure that the department runs in a professional, efficient, and cost effect manner, whilst providing and promoting excellent Customer Service by ensuring that Customer's needs, and expectations are met, and overall Customer satisfaction is achieved.

The following tasks are required to deliver the key shared and sole responsibilities:

  • Preparing weekly/monthly reports for Operations Director reviews
  • Return to works are completed in a timely manner, with applicable next steps in place where require
  • Seek out best practise in Customer Service and means to implement across the business
  • Support the Operations Director to develop and deploy 3/5-year improvement strategies
  • Managing day to day activities of all team members and promoting teamwork
  • Collaborating with colleagues, to share and encourage new ideas and best practice
  • Being warm and welcoming, taking time to recognise and listen to others
  • Building a strong team spirit and a network of relationships that stretches beyond the transport department
  • Challenging unacceptable behaviour and coaching team members how to resolve problems in a professional manner
  • Train and enforce Health & Safely, and compliance legislation requirements
  • Managing team's sickness, holidays and wage queries
  • Ensure that 12 weeks new starters appraisal are completed on a timely manner
  • Ensure that performance appraisals are completed with each team member every six months and added value
  • Celebrate success within team and outside to support job satisfaction
  • Actively be looking for a new talent inside the organisation and help creating an opportunity for future grow
  • Support a welcoming and inclusive culture were everyone feels valued and included
