Henlee Resourcing is working in partnership with a highly respected consultancy business based in South Oxfordshire, to recruit a progressive, operationally focused HR Advisor / Business Partner, into an exciting permanent role (either full time or 30+ hours / week).

We are looking for an experienced and progressive generalist, to provide HR expertise to Directors and Team Leaders across a growing and pivotal part of the business. The majority of your time will be spent supporting people in the UK, together with a smaller office in Spain and, a number of people dotted around Europe. c170 FTE's in total.

As one of five direct reports to an excellent Head of HR, you will work together to support the organisation's vision and growth strategy.

Specifically;

  • Providing input into HR strategic goals and operational plans
  • Leadership of and involvement in HR projects
  • Providing advice and guidance to employees on policy and procedure, in the UK and in Spain
  • Managing operational HR advice and associated transactional tasks
  • Inductions and probations, supporting new starter integration
  • Advise with promotion cases and salary reviews
  • Data management and analysis
  • Delivering training and presenting at local business meetings
  • Managing maternity/paternity/flexible working/home working requests
  • Liaising with Occupational Health on specific cases
  • Contributing to the creation and implementation of new policies and processes
  • Advising on global mobility and Visa matters
  • Performance management, disciplinary, grievances and redundancy, infrequently
  • Mentoring of junior HR colleagues

Suitable applicants must have;

  • A generalist HR background, with minimum CIPD level 5 (ideally) and be looking to progress
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • Interest/experience in supporting employees based overseas
  • Delivery/facilitation of internal training courses
  • Ability to work autonomously and lead implementation
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Be committed, proactive and have a "can do" approach to all aspects of work
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, within the HR Team and wider business
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills
  • Adaptable and accepting of the need to work flexibly in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Flexibility to travel to other sites if needed

Experience in an engineering consultancy or similar technical environment would be a distinct advantage but not essential. This role requires site presence 1 day a week in Didcot. The rest of the time will be remote / flexible home working.
