Description

The HR and OD Projects Consultant will work closely with the HR Director and HR team to lead on and deliver a broad range of people focussed projects. Key responsibilities will include:

• To lead and deliver various projects that implement the people and OD strategies for charity, ensuring that the projects are project managed, and delivered in accordance with agreed plans and business cases and including key stakeholders where relevant.
• To actively produce and analyse accurate information/data to influence the leadership team across a range of people activities, to identify issues/trends and to develop appropriate strategies to effectively address them.
• Ensuring that relevant policies, procedures, guidance and practices are up to date, legally compliant, accessible, meet relevant standards, are practical and reflect best practice where possible.
• To work closely with leadership team and other staff on the identification and implementation of flexible and effective change management solutions, ensuring consistent standards are maintained and appropriate communication and consultation with staff takes place.
• To promote equality and diversity in accordance with charity policy, employment legislation and good practice.
• To travel to various locations across the UK as and when required. This will include occasional overnight stays.

Profile

To be successful in this HR and OD Projects Consultant role you will need to be an experienced HR generalist with an extensive background of managing projects.

• CIPD qualification at level 7 or equivalent
• Project management experience - delivery of strategic organisation wide HR and OD projects
• Experience of managing the HR aspects associated with organisation change/restructuring/engagement post restructure
• Experience of developing and implementing HR ad OD policies, procedures with the achievement of improved organisation outcomes
• Up to date knowledge of employment law and ability to translate into practice
• Demonstrable experience of translating HR strategy into practice
• Demonstrable experience of working at a Senior level within HR or OD
• Ideally some experience of working in the not for profit and charities sectors, or at least an interest in this
