A first-time appointment, the UK HR Manager will oversee all people activities, developing and implementing people strategies and initiatives aligned with global organisational principles and business strategy. Simultaneously, the HR Manager will support the Marketing team in creating innovative engagement processes and driving a positive culture during an exciting period of growth and transformational change.

My client is a global group manufacturing organisation, with its central functions office based in Greater Manchester, and 2 further operational sites across the UK.

Description

A first-time appointment, operating alongside a Global HR team, this role has a generalist remit across the corporate functions in Manchester, and the operational sites across the UK. Working closely with the Executive team, the role will suit a strong operator in activities across Culture & Engagement, ER, Talent Development and Recruitment. The responsibilities will include (but not be limited to);

  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the global principles and overall business strategy
  • Managing UK HR activities across whole employee lifecycle, always adhering to UK employment legislation and company policy
  • Partnering with line managers on recruitment processes for the UK
  • Developing people development frameworks, which drive high performance and support any learning and development needs
  • Advising on and managing the UK Reward framework
  • Supporting the HR coordinator to introduce lean procedures, enabling colleagues to self-serve HR processes
  • Supporting the creation of "continuous improvement" culture within the business
  • Managing one direct report
  • Supporting the Head of Marketing to create interactive internal campaigns to communicate key projects
  • Creation of a regular and engaging global communication framework, to keep the business in touch with key activities
  • To develop, own and drive the internal communications calendar

Profile

The successful candidate will ideally come from an industrial multi-site background, having supported both corporate and operational functions. Ideally the candidate comes with a demonstrable toolkit including;

  • Culture, engagement and communications
  • Continuous improvement in corporate and operational environments
  • Talent Development, and coaching of line managers to upskill
  • Recruitment
  • Employee relations

Job Offer

The role is offering circa £40,000 - £45,000 plus car/allowance. The role is offered on a hybrid working basis, based in Greater Manchester.

There is adhoc travel required to sites in the Midlands and South, so candidates must be happy to travel as and when required
