The Senior HR Advisor will be responsible for providing expert employee relations advice, guidance, and support to the business.

My client is a leading Public Sector organisation based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Support on absences, probations, capabilities, grievances, and disciplinary cases providing effective advice, support, and resolution
  • Develop effective relationships with stakeholders, promoting the importance of people management and the proactive resolution of all people issues
  • Work closely with the wider HR team to ensure a joined-up approach and an efficient overall HR service
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, ACAS guidelines, internal policies, and procedures and best practice
  • Support local consultation processes and requirements, such as, restructures, reviews, and TUPE
  • Develop a strong working relationship with trade union representatives to ensure collaborative working
  • Support the speedy resolution of conflict management
  • Management of absence cases and support with occupational health and adjustments
  • Proactive management of all probation cases
  • Update and maintain HR policies and procedures with the Employee Relations Manager and Senior Employee Relations Manager
  • Involvement in HR project work, and the delivery of ER related training and development programmes

Profile

* Experience of working in an HR advisory capacity, providing case management support to line managers
* CIPD Qualified
* Experience of managing ER cases to resolution
* Ability to manage a high volume of cases and make sound judgements in a timely manner
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to support and guide managers on ER issues
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and trade union representatives
* Excellent communication skills

Job Offer

  • Interim role - contracted until March 2023
  • £250 day rate
  • Hybrid working model
