Client Details

This is a NFP business at the heart of the fight against uninsured driving. This is a problem that seriously affects the lives of those involved in road accidents and costs millions of pounds every year.

Description

  • Operate as the People lead for designated business-led projects
  • Contribute as part of the project leadership team and working group(s) in the development of project plans, detailed scope, commissioning of resources/services and other matters for the benefit of the overall project delivery
  • Advise on all People related matters on designated projects and provide appropriate, accurate and timely information and support
  • Conduct due diligence relating to all People related areas, to scope and within timescale
  • Co-design and implement initiatives and processes to develop capability and recognise and reward the right outcomes and behaviours with business leaders Develop a robust People workstream plan to support the people deliverables for designated business-led projects
  • Ensure all people impacts are identified, risks assessed, with appropriate plans and risk mitigation put in place
  • Create, track and report on People workstream budget for designated projects within the People & Enablement and Portfolio Management Office, highlighting budget variances in a timely manner Advise and lead on all consultation matters and implementation of employment legislation relating to any People impacts identified
  • Research, source and implement appropriate internal and/or external advice in line with the project plan
  • Regularly update and report on workstream progress in line with PMO guidelines and timescales
  • Build professional relationships with third parties, partners and suppliers to enable the People workstream deliverables to be achieved
  • Liaise with the Engagement team to ensure that effective and appropriate communications are developed and delivered to support colleague and customer understanding and engagement
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and company policies, procedures and processes throughout the development, design and implementation phases of the designated projects
  • Communicate effectively the People plan and deliverables to the wider People & Engagement Team, as and when appropriate, to ensure engagement and understanding of the project scope and outcomes
  • Work closely with the HR Operations team to create employee reports, understand terms and conditions of existing employment, impacts of planned changes, as appropriate and in a planned way
  • Produce project specific presentations, data and insight to keep stakeholders well informed

Profile

  • Project experience, in the following areas: large scale business transformation, organisational design (right-sizing), manpower planning, capability/skills mapping, attraction and retention, talent and succession, employee engagement, employee relations (including consultation)
  • Experience of developing and implementing transformation and service delivery change programmes with business leads
  • Experience of programme and/or project methodology and reporting practices
  • Experience of designing and implementing initiatives to increase capability and recognise and reward outcomes and behaviours
  • Good communication skills including the ability to influence and negotiate at a high level
  • CIPD qualification (level 7- desirable) or equivalent work experience
  • High level of computer literacy and previous experience of HR systems
  • Able to deal appropriately with confidential and sensitive information
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Takes initiative, acts with confidence and works under own direction
  • Analyses numerical data, verbal data and other sources of information to gain insight
  • Produces workable solutions to a range of problems to progress matters efficiently
  • Gets to the heart of complex problems and issues
  • Works at pace, productively in a busy and time sensitive environment

Job Offer

35 hours per week Monday to Friday
£320 (before tax) start up allowance
