Energy Saving Trust is an independent organisation working to address the climate emergency.

Energy Saving Trust is a leading and trusted organisation, dedicated to promoting energy efficiency, low carbon transport and sustainable energy use. We aim to address the climate emergency and deliver the wider benefits of clean energy as we transition to net zero.

The team

The people team are one of the key support services which serve as an anchor in our organisation. We support, coach, challenge and guide our people throughout their time with us. We provide essential services throughout the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to onboarding to development to employees moving on.

As a team we believe in walking the walk for our organisation. We are therefore consistently reviewing and challenging ourselves to be the best people professionals we can in order to support the climate emergency. This has created a team full of engaged, passionate and super supportive team members.

If successful, you will not just be joining a team but becoming part of our culture.  With quotes of the day, a weekly coffee catch-ups and team chat, we make sure we are there for each other in all we do and can pull together to deliver for our people.

The role

We have recently announced a £100k pot which is solely for the development and personal growth of our people.  This role will lead, develop and design an L&D strategy and framework for the organisation. Providing learning initiatives that will enhance our peoples’ experience at Energy Saving Trust and will support our personal growth strategy for technical &specialist training, continued professional development and personal employee growth.

What you’ll do

Design and deliver an L&D strategy and framework which meets the needs of our people and engagement strategy. Design and develop core programmes and initiatives to further improve skills across the organisation with a concentration on our management and leadership roles.  Develop evaluation measures to demonstrate the value of L&D interventions for the organisation that clearly show return on investment for senior leader and board reporting.

What you’ll bring

Demonstrable experience of designing and delivering successful and impactful Learning initiatives – including management or leadership. Proven success in development and delivery of training courses in-house both in person and virtually. Proven experience of using insights and data, alongside organisational strategy, to inform an organisation’s learning and development strategy.

This is a permanent role. We are open to flexible working patterns and blended (home and office-based) working is possible for this role. Travel when required would be expected to our offices based across the UK.

Energy Saving Trust offers a range of benefits to all employees such as flexible working, an employee assistance programme and a wellbeing allowance.  Please see our careers page for more info.

Please state the job reference you are applying for in the subject line. Applications submitted without a covering letter will not be considered.
