Payroll Officer - 32K permanent
Hybrid position with offices in Ipswich

This is a permanent role perfect for someone looking for their next challenge in a fast-paced payroll environment.
Our payroll is managed in house and with some experience in payroll, expenses, PAYE and tax legislation, you will provide start to finish payroll administration for monthly payrolls. To be a success you will be highly organised and able to work to the established processes and procedures in an accurate and timely manner.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting the Payroll Manager with end-to-end payroll processing of four payrolls with a combined total of 1000 people
* Using MHR's iTrent to process new starters and process leavers and perform monthly variance analysis on payroll elements.
* Deal with and resolve payroll queries including monitoring a payroll inbox
* Assisting with the processing of P60s, P45s and P11ds
* Assisting with the administration of the Group Personal Pension
* Performing the Payroll Reconciliation
* Administering the Season Ticket Loan scheme
* Performing manual calculations of statutory to provide projects to employees
* Create the payroll journals and assist the Finance team with any queries they may have
* Provide cover for the Payroll Manager in periods of absence
* Use MS Excel formulae to analyse data, including X LOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, Pivot Tables
* Other ad hoc tasks.
Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications
* A professional and flexible approach to work load
* Excellent organisation and communication skills are essential
* Must be able to work on own initiative
* A competent user of Microsoft Excel and Word
* Ability to work to tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail
* Minimum of 3 years previous payroll Assistant/Admin experience
* CIPP qualification is desirable but not essential
* Experience of iTrent payroll system is desirable but not essential
* Experience of other payroll systems is essential
