We have a current opportunity with an exciting business for a Strategic Demand officer on a 6 month basis . The position will be based in London on a hybrid working frame. For further information about this position please apply.

Purpose of the role is:

- Ensures that the company consistently has the right resource at the right time, in order to meet business demand.

- Support development and delivery of annual business and resource plans with an annual budget of circa £400m.

- Collaborate with the business & Finance to create realistic manpower budgets and forecasts; reconciling differences and escalating quickly but accurately any areas of risk to ensure a robust and accurate manpower plan.

- Strategic supplier management, ensuring optimum resourcing through efficient financial and resource planning.

- Drive continuous improvement by ensuring that the end-to-end resourcing processes are best in class and by leading structural process change.

Working in partnership with the business and the client to:

- Lead, develop and manage the companies approach to Manpower planning.

- Understand evolving business needs and technology capabilities that impact the business. Collaborate with the company Management Committee and their teams to understand resource budgets and forecasts and ensure alignment to the operating model.

- Support consolidation of mid-long-term demand for new products and services, with effective resource planning to ensure the companies delivery capability. Accountable for delivering the plan, reconciling differences and accurately escalating any areas of risk to ensure robust resource delivery.

- Proactively identify areas of business risk associated with manpower plans and ensures resolution.

- Design, build and run timely, effective and insightful reporting that adds and drives value.

- Provide strategic input into the companies emerging talent programmes, ensuring alignment to strategy and manpower planning processes.

- Collaborating with People and HR teams to attract, develop and retain the best technology and digital experts through our Graduate, Apprentice and work experience programmes.

- Maintain a strong awareness of IT best practice and trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and business change.

- Perform ad-hoc data requests for senior stakeholders where required.

- Deputise for the Head of Strategy & Planning where and when appropriate
