Your new role

The role will suit someone looking for fixed term contract, you will be available immediately or at short notice and duties will include:

  • Proactively support the design and delivery of core people processes.
  • Partner with the business on operational people activities including annual pay review, performance review process and calibration, job evaluation and benchmarking, people and organisational planning and engagement
  • Develop and implement internal initiatives and partner with external providers as agreed to improve colleague health and wellbeing in accordance with the regional wellbeing strategy
  • Work with the Head of People Services to ensure that all employment contracts, operational people policies and standard operating procedures are documented, up-to-date, compliant and lean and that appropriate first line risk controls and assurance are in place as appropriate and that changes are communicated and embedded effectively
  • Responsible for implementing effective case management procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and leveraging opportunities to increase manager capability to address their own ER issues; support with complex ER cases
  • As the key subject matter experts for UK employment legislation in the region, provide support to change projects across the region as necessary

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience working in a generalist HR role or multi-disciplinary experience across a range of HR roles such as reward, resourcing, employee relations, employment policy, organisational development, performance and development, wellbeing, and engagement
  • Experienced coach with demonstrable capability to help managers and colleagues find their own solutions
  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations, challenge effectively and ask the right questions.
  • Strong people change management skills and the ability to coach managers in how to lead change effectively and in line with our values and culture.
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritise and work autonomously
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong employment law knowledge
  • Workday knowledge and experience (desirable)
  • Lean process and/or agile HR experience (desirable)
  • Resilient, able to deal with issues and manage difficult situations firmly and sensitively.
  • Ability to build effective relationships at all levels with strong stakeholder management skills
