Compliance Officer (Contracts)

Leicester / City of London

Hays has a fantastic opportunity to recruit a Compliance Officer (Contracts), the role would ideally suit someone who has experience of pre-employment screening within a recruitment company and/or contract reviews, however previous experience is not necessary as full training will be provided. You'll be working for a FTSE 250 company, the UK's market leader within the recruitment industry and offices across the world. Ideally you will be working in our Leicester office, but we would consider applications form people wishing to work in the City of London.

Your new role

The role will be focused primarily on the contract review process, you will be responsible for the Compliance review of contracts for Hays to supply temporary workers and permanent candidates to our clients, in order to identify and highlight risks to the business and pre-employment screening checks over and above the Hays standard requirements. You will have responsibility for creating new screening guides for contracts with additional requirements and updating existing guides with client and legislative changes. You will also have the opportunity to produce training materials and deliver training sessions on complex contract requirements.

You will be trained on SharePoint, Power Automate and Microsoft Forms in order to deliver projects to replace lengthy manual processes and create streamlined, linked-up processes to improve efficiency and productivity for the business. Successfully collaborating on future projects, providing user support and maintenance on existing sites.

What you will need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail combined with a methodical approach to your work. You should enjoy working in a fast paced and target orientated environment, have an interest in, and aptitude for, using Office365 products to drive greater efficiency. You should have a positive attitude to your work with a drive to challenge and improve, you should also be able to analyse contractual terms and clearly explain risks to key stakeholders. You will also be expected to undertake continued training and development to improve both personal and team performance.

Hays have a hybrid working pattern in which you will be expected to work in the office half the time and from home half the time with flexibility on which days in the office.

    Salary £28'000 - £32'000 (dependant on location) + 3% annual bonus.
