People & OD Advisor - Temporary until 31st March 2023 Cardiff - Hybrid £13.84p/hr

Your new company
This is an excellent opportunity for a People & OD Advisor to join the team of a busy Public Sector organisation based in Cardiff who pride themselves on working together with trust and respect to make a difference.


Your new role
This is a diverse role, and you will be providing comprehensive, expert People & OD advice, that includes guidance and support to managers and staff of the full range of People & OD policies, practices, procedures, and supporting resources that enable managers to manage and develop staff more effectively and improve performance. You will be dealing with a range of areas including staff health and wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion, recruitment, and staff engagement. You will provide ongoing coaching and support to case management ensuring managers are aware of their responsibilities in the appropriate application and implementation of People & OD policies, practices, and procedures; and that these are delivered in line with the organisations values and behaviours.


What you'll need to succeed
You will be at least CIPD Level 5 qualified and will have a strong academic record to degree level. You will be a HR generalist with demonstrable understanding of People & OD policies, procedures and employee legislation and have experience with employee relations case management. You will have the ability to communicate with managers and staff at all levels in the organisation; and be able to build effective working relationships. You will be able to adapt to a range of customer needs, and be able to coach, support, guide, reassure and motivate managers. You will also have an excellent level of written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional time management skills with the ability to re-prioritise, working to deadlines and under pressure.


What you'll get in return
Hourly rate of £13.84p/hr, temporary until 31st March 2023 and flexible and hybrid working.
