We’re currently looking for a Management Information Officer to join us in the Guildhall.

In this role you’ll proactively coordinate, maintain and provide HR and pay-related management information using the corporate HR/payroll system (iTrent) as a primary source, and any other source as appropriate. You’ll have a wide range of other tasks, including:

  • Providing HR and pay-related management information in appropriate formats including system reports, committee reports and spread sheets to internal and external bodies. This includes both regular requirements and ad hoc requests Writing complex Business Intelligence 4 (BI4) reports to extract and present information from the HR/pay system and any other source as necessary, using appropriate software including Excel to present the information in an intelligible format Acting as the advisor to Corporate HR on the in-depth use and requirements of the BI4 reporting tool, statistical techniques, modelling and presentation formats Developing an understanding of City of London HR and payment policies and funding structures, and their impact on information reporting Applying knowledge of HR and payment policies to ensure the identification and reporting of pertinent and accurate information Taking a leading role in monitoring the accuracy of HR/pay-related system data Leading projects and working parties on both systems and management information related projects. This work will include participating in and leading consultation meetings with departmental users to establish their requirements and views Training both the system and information users/owners in a variety of formal and informal training and presentation sessions Attending internal and external meetings and presenting management information reports Developing and drafting user guides, training and other system documentation Ensuring that all management information processes are documented and that team members are trained to enable absence cover Acting as the Access to Information (AIN) representative for Corporate HR, which includes advising colleagues on compliance with Data Protection, Freedom of Information and  Environmental Information regulations Undertaking systems related tasks including security and password set up, organisation restructuring and help desk tasks Implementing the City of London’s Occupational Health and Safety Policy and Equal Opportunity Policy in relation to the duties of the post
