Your new company
Your new company will be a law firm that looks after clients in 3 private sectors, across the UK and internationally.

Your new role
Your new role will be as HR Business Partner in their Exeter office, although this is only for important meetings, and you are more than welcome to work from home in this role.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • To look after complex Employee Relations issues, resourcing and talent acquisition, development, performance management, change management, restructuring, culture, engagement, wellbeing and inclusion.
  • Advise, interpret and provide practical guidance in respect of HR policies and procedures, employment legislation and best practice specific to the needs of the business.
  • Lead on key strategic and operational HR projects
  • Provide day to day HR support when required across a range of areas to provide additional support to other team members, which may include maintenance of our HR database, payroll, onboarding, recruitment and absence management.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience working in a professional services environment desirable
  • Proven record of delivering a high level of business partnering to businesses
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent, with at least three years operating at HR Business Partner/ HR Manager level
  • Strong IT Skills (Microsoft Office 2010, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organisational skills and can demonstrate examples of multi-tasking and an ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to influence a range of business areas and management levels
  • Demonstrate strong employment law knowledge, commerciality and the ability to apply both in practice
  • Experience of successfully managing complex ER issues
