HR Systems & Data Officer | Perm | Manchester | £31,500 (pro-rated) | 20 hours | Remote (occasional travel)


Leading provider within the public sector seeking a HR systems and Data Officer to join their dynamic, friendly and fast-moving organisation, on a part time, permanent basis. Your New Role

Within your new role, you will be an integral member of the HR team and will be responsible for leading on a variety of HR system management, operational activities and providing system expertise and support on the organisations main HR system, Cascade HR. You will maintain the Cascade system (essentially acting as the organisations superuser), ensuring all data is always up to date.

You will also lead on the development and support of the HR systems, to ensure that management can report on data and insights. You will be the main point of contact for all employees who may need advice and guidance regarding any of the above. It's essential that you are passionate and excited about your field and are able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, paired with the ability to work autonomously.

Some of the main responsibilities within your new role;

  • Maintain the HRIS (Cascade) system and ensure the integrity of the HR system data
  • Act as systems expert, responsible for the production of all reports and analysis of key HR management data and metrics
  • Own, develop and maintain the HR SharePoint page
  • Produce mandatory reporting statistics such as ONS and gender pay gap
  • Produce quarterly HR MI information reports for senior management
  • Undertake all system administration functions, including: system background build and configuration; ongoing design and development improvements; new software features/functionality
  • Be the main point of contact for Cascade enquiries
  • Undertake other duties or projects within the scope of the post as may be reasonably requested by the Head of HR/HR Manager
  • Ability to utilise excel, PowerBi and similar.

What You Will Need

  • (ESSENTIAL) Experience using Cascade, maintaining and the system
  • The ability to interrogate and analyse data, troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Experience with the following: SharePoint, System maintenance and configuration, data extraction and analysis
  • Strong organisational skills with a professional and proactive approach to a varied and often demanding workload
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong data manipulation and reporting experience, using systems including, but not limited to Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar
