Hays HR is delighted to be supporting a growing client in the County Durham region who is going through a big restructure and change programme. This is an opportunity for a HR Advisor to join the HR team who is looking to gain more experience within HR and diverse their skillset. If you are a senior HR Advisor looking to progress into a HR Business Partner role this could be an opportunity for you as well.

Your new role
In your new role you will work alongside the wider HR function supporting the Head of HR, HR Manager on ad-hoc project work. You will be responsible for providing a first-class proactive HR service providing generalist advice, guidance and support on all HR related matters as well as supporting on projects to drive employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR advice to all employees across employee relations issues including sickness absence, grievance, disciplinary, capability, recruitment, retention and performance management.
  • Co-ordinate recruitment activities including interviewing, assessment centres
  • Ensure that the end to end employee lifecycle is managed effectively
  • Review all HR related policies and procedures
  • Assist with change management initiatives
  • Deliver and support training and coaching
  • Support the HR Manager

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful within this role you will need to have experience working in a similar role previously and the following:

  • Able to work within a fast-paced organisation
  • Work as part of a wider HR function
  • Experience of implementing systems
  • Knowledge of employment legislation
  • Able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders

What you'll get in return
