In this pivotal role in a leading consultancy firm, you will be part of a large Resource Management function which supports multiple business lines across the UK & Ireland. The function helps drive the growth of the business and exceptional employee experience.

Reporting directly to the Resource Deployment Lead the Resource Development Manager will be managing optimal demand and supply of consultants, resourcing them onto client and internal projects.

As a Resource Deployment Manager, you will be responsible for:

    Responsible for overseeing resource deployment within an allocated area of the business Provide business insights in weekly/monthly resourcing meetings Deal with escalated resourcing issues and make decisions on conflicting demands, liaising with other members of the Resourcing team as required
    Understand the skill sets and proactively deploy individuals to areas where optimal utilisation can be achieved. Provides insights to the Resource Deployment Lead on business performance and discuss trends, interventions, and actions to improve results Manage annual productivity targets with SSL teams to drive performance Drive collaborative resource solutions with team members supporting other business areas, Off-shore teams & Ireland
    Input into budgets to capture accurate headcount and chargeability Proactively monitor the resource pipeline with local stakeholders Support and implement continual improvement of resource deployment processes Identify skill set gaps and headcount modelling to drive and support business recruitment

A Resource Deployment Manager will possess:

    Previous experience in commercial resourcing, recruitment or in an operations environment, ideally within professional services but wider backgrounds will be considered Ability to use business information to anticipate and execute interventions to improve performance across the team
    Ability to think quickly, work under pressure Ability to handle demands with Senior stakeholders Proven experience overseeing a team or area with management responsibilities Business acumen to challenge the commercial drivers of resourcing decisions and demonstrate wider cross service line perspective to deliver results
