A 12m FTC for a HR Advisor with strong ER experience to join a large public sector organisation in Winchester

Your new company

My client are a large public sector organisation and an employer of choice in Hampshire.

Your new role

Reporting to a supportive HR Operations Manager, this is a 12 Month FTC to join the business as a HR Advisor.

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor to join the team. This is an ideal role for an individual looking to develop their practical HR experience in a leading organisation.
  • The HR Operations team provides expert advice and support to managers on a range of employee relations issues. The team are keen to build on and develop their reputation with managers for providing a first-class service.
  • In your role you'll be working on the HR Helpdesk, providing employee relations advice and support over the phone and via e-mails to line managers across various divisions.
  • As such you'll be capable of taking calls and responding to e-mails to quickly ascertain business needs, be able to provide high quality advice and support and professionally coach and equip managers to enable them to take the appropriate next steps and achieve their business outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed

You must be CIPD qualified and / or have good experience in an ER specialist role or an ER-biased generalist HR role. You need to be an excellent communicator, able to quickly build rapport with managers and be comfortable with thinking on your feet.

Experience in a large public sector organisation is preferred, but not essential.

You will receive a salary between £27,000-£30,000 (DOE), 24 days holiday +BH's, hybrid working and flexible start / finish times, counselling / health advice and various local discounts.
