Permanent - OD Officer - Widnes - Full Time

My client, one of the leading housing organisations based in the Northwest is seeking a professional OD Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. My client provides quality homes, they also provide a range of services designed to support customers throughout their journey - whether that's renting, shared ownership or outright sale. They have a strong focus on innovation and technology, building new homes both within the North West and wider area.

Your new role

The main purpose of the role is to support the Director of People in the delivery of the People Strategy and transformation programmes linking together people, processes, and systems to transform the culture of the organisation, drive colleague engagement, create efficiencies and improve service delivery.
The OD Officer will support the Director of People to deliver the OD agenda across the organisation and will also create the foundation for building a positive and sustainable learning culture which supports colleague satisfaction and drives organisational performance.
Some of your duties will include but not limited too

Deliver change initiatives which drive a high-performance culture and support colleague wellbeing.
Partner with and influence managers and other stakeholders to drive the OD agenda.
Lead on relevant OD projects, ensuring regular updates are provided to the Director of People and other relevant stakeholders.
Design, co-ordinate, and report on a range of colleague engagement initiatives and offer recommendations to the Director of People.
Support the Director of People with the delivery of Leadership Development across the organisation ranging from aspiring to transformational leaders.
Design, deliver, evaluate, and advise on staff learning and development activities (including coaching and mentoring).
Develop and embed Performance Management across the organisation: oversee the quarterly process, monitor compliance with timelines and partner with line managers to drive improvements.
Lead on the staff skills and knowledge database to identify talent and skills gaps.
Review and develop OD Policies and Procedures to ensure they are relevant, up to date and reflective of best practice.
Regularly conduct external research, benchmarking, and network, to keep up to date with OD best practice and inform change initiatives.
Develop, deliver, and coordinate the Corporate Induction process.
Lead on the coordination of the Apprenticeship programme.
Monitor expenditure and report against training budget including explanations for any variances

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to come from a proven history within OD
Have excellent organisational skills
Be able t communicate at all level
