Do you have proven experience of working as a HR Advisor and looking for a fast paced and exciting new role?
Ashley Kate are delighted to be to be supporting a Borough Council, based in Borehamwood as they look to recruit a Full Time, permanent HR Advisor with a strong HR background with an interest in Organisational Development.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to join a dedicated HR team.
The salary for this role be up to circa £43k (depending on experience) and comes with a hybrid working pattern and excellent benefits.
About the role
·As part of the role you will provide an effective professional HR management service including the provision of quality employment law advice to ensure Council compliance with current legislation, policies and procedures.
·Work with unit managers and staff to provide HR input on current operational and employee relations issues.
·Manage special projects to support the achievement of corporate objectives including organisational change, taking into account employment law, Council policy and employee relations requirements.
·Provide advice on all HR policies and procedures including conditions of service, reorganisation and grievances and disciplines.
·Manage the recruitment process by advising on the recruitment campaign, devising selection methods and assisting with shortlisting, testing, interviewing, selection and offers of employment, participating in interviews for all posts
·Manage the sickness absence management process by monitoring absence, liaising with occupational health, supporting formal meetings and advising managers on individual cases
·Support the management of change process including devising consultation strategies to support re-structures and re-organisations, ensuring that they are carried out in accordance with Council's policies and employment legislation
·Support managers in the probationary process and capability process including helping to devise improvement action plans and attending formal meetings
·Manage Well-being, ensuring regular relevant well-being events are held throughout the year
·Manage employee relations issues counselling and advising managers and  handling issues in the most tactful and effective way to avoid where possible resorting to formal procedures.

HR Advisor - About you
·A broad knowledge and understanding of HR and proven experience in Employee Relations, Employment Law and Restructures.
·Experience of working with local government would be advantageous.
·CIPD qualified or equivalent relevant experience
·Good organisational planning and project management skills, able to demonstrate results and deliver continuous improvement.
·Be able to multitask and meet deadlines
·Highly computer literate with a good proven competency in MS Office and successfully use business systems to advanced level
