An award winning, specialist professional services organisation with offices throughout the UK are recruiting to a D&I Specialist role, which can be based from the Leeds, York or Sheffield offices.
Your new role
This is an exciting new diversity specialist job role that has been created with the full support of the Board and senior management teams to lead and deliver their D&I strategy; to ensure that the business is taking action that has a positive impact on existing and future people, clients and communities. This is a great opportunity for a passionate and credible advocate of diversity, equity and inclusion, with an understanding of key issues, challenges and good practice.
You will work closely with the senior stakeholders as well as learning and development, internal comms and human resources teams to ensure that the Strategic Action Plan is delivered effectively and in accordance with the company's values. You'll be involved in Focus Groups, be responsible for the diversity survey and data, work on policy and best practice and manage the ED&I budget. You will be a key player in planning and contributing to the delivery of internal and external communications and campaigns relating to all diversity and inclusion related activities, working with key people internally and externally to raise the ED&I profile both internally and externally. An important part of this will be developing and maintaining an external network of ED&I specialists, community partners, organisations and formal bodies, in sharing best practise and working collaboratively.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have recent experience of delivering diversity and inclusion initiatives, ideally within a similar industry, which have had a positive impact on improving an organisation's ED&I practices and culture. You will have strong reporting and analytical skills and first class communication skills, in order to engage with people at all levels across the organisations and within the wider community.
