Your new company
We have an exciting contract for a people partner to join our Woking based NHS client for 1 year.

Your new role
Reporting to the deputy director of people, you will help implement and deliver the people strategy within your assigned business unit as well as take regular feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement policy. This is a generalist HR role working for a very meaningful organisation!

Key responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of effective People Management practices, procedures and processes based on best practice and reduce the risk of litigation facing the Organisation.
  • Support the development of the Organisations workforce planning process and provide the right balance between operational guidance and strategic planning so that the Organisation has a workforce capacity and capability fit for the future.
  • Deliver effective partnership working with staff side colleagues enabling both the satisfactory management of individual cases and long term workforce planning and efficiency measures.
  • Work as a key member of the People team, role modelling the Organisational values, demonstrating service excellence and providing expert guidance and applying judgement to highly complex situations.
  • Act as a business partner to the Business Unit by developing thorough understanding of the wider business team objectives and strategic direction, contributing to the decision making process and ensuring all workforce requirements are identified, planned and delivered through a robust workforce plan.
  • Providing expert advice and support on employee relations issues, offering employment legislation and legal terms and conditions advice, whilst ensuring continuity of patient service delivery.
  • Ensure managers at all levels have a thorough understanding of their role and responsibilities in relation to key workforce policies and processes and have the relevant skills to perform this role.
  • Support the development of the leadership capability of line managers, coaching and equipping them with the knowledge, skills and values to handle the challenges of line management professionally.
  • Undertake organisational change projects and provide expert HR input to consultation and change management in line with organisational policy, procedures and employment legislation.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be CIPD qualified and have recent HR experiences. NHS experience is preferable but not essential. Partnering experience is preferable but not essential
