Learning & Development Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learning and Development Manager to join a highly regarded professional services firm on a contract basis (14 Months).
Reporting to the People Director, the Learning and Development Manager will work in partnership across the business leading on identifying, implementing and evaluating innovative solutions of core courses and resources to support the sourcing, development and retention of the company's current and future talent. The L&D Manager will play an integral role in supporting the growth of the firm and acting as the subject matter expert when it comes to best practice within training, learning and development. The two main objectives for the fixed term contract include; 1) implement the first year of the designed L&D strategy, supporting the L&D team and remit to deliver the intended outcomes 2) to manage and develop the L&D team, providing day to day line management and supporting their progression
Lead, promote and communicate the L&D strategy to the firm
Oversight for implementation of the strategic themes, supporting the L&D team and L&D remit to deliver outcomes in their areas of business
Accountable for delivering key milestones in set timeframes
Work closely with the L&D team to identify further opportunities for professionalization across the firm
Management and development responsibility for L&D team members and the L&D remit
Oversight of Business Partnering across the firm, supporting staff to build relationships and coordinate efficient training programmes across practices, teams and offices
Work with the People Director and Head of HR & Recruitment to create interesting and optimal development opportunities for the People team
Significant experience of the full L&D and training provision within professional services
Experience of managing people, including complex teams made up of People professionals and wider employee participation
Excellent project management, ability to manage multiple projects and support team to deliver strategic objectives
Excellent communication skills; both verbally and in writing, able to adapt to different audiences/styles
Future focused in best practice design and delivery
Previous experience working with senior stakeholders and the ability to influence
This role is to start in late October and supports a hybrid working pattern.
