HR Officer, Tourism and Leisure Sector, Kings Lynn/Hunstanton, £25,000-28,000 + benefits

Your new organisation is an award-winning, family run, leisure group set within the tourism sector. They are seeking a HR Officer to facilitate crucial tasks within their HR function, to enable them to carry out its day-to-day operations. They are looking for someone to support the Senior HR Manager and Finance and HR Director, providing a service inclusive of the below.
This role requires an on-site presence. You will work a 5-day week, inclusive of 40 hours. You will have to work the occasional evening (up to 7pm, with time back in lieu), and the very occasional Saturday to support events/recruitment drives (prior notice given).
Your new role
As part of your role, you will support the efficient running of the HR function, including the provision of HR advice. You will lead on all elements of admin relating to the recruitment process, including the reviewing of job packs, advertising, and ensuring all compliance documentation is completed, including references and eligibility checks.
You will also work closely with other HR colleagues to deliver the administration and prep of payroll activity, providing guidance and supporting any issues that have been raised. You will support HR projects where required, and maintain all HR, employee, and pay databases, ensuring information is up-to-date and correct.
You will work with the HR manager on allocated case work, including absence, grievance, maternity, and right to work applications. You will recommend, review, and implement process improvements to ensure the effective running of the function.
Additionally, some of your responsibilities will include assisting with the set-up of HR systems, working with health and safety, training administration, document reviews, relationship building, and acting as an ambassador for the business.
Within this role, you will have influence to develop, shape, and inspire the HR service, the organisation's employees, and upcoming project.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will ideally have prior HR experience, be customer focused, confident, and motivated. You will be able to prioritise, demonstrate computer literacy and have good up to date knowledge of employment law, and the MS office suite.
You will be efficient, self-motivated, and be able to operate under pressure. You will be able to work with enthusiasm, and with confidentiality.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, written and verbally.
You will able and willing to work the very occasional evening and Saturday (in lieu of alternative time off).
It is preferential that you have experience in recruitment and on-boarding.
