Working with a global company with a small head office based in central London, this role is a newly created position to support the Global HR Director.

Client Details

Our client is a global oil & gas business based in central London looking for an experienced HR Manager. This role is a newly created opportunity to work closely with the HR Director (also based in London) to support them with all HR related activities. This role is a permanent opportunity with hybrid working options with 3 days minimum expectations to be based in the office.

Description

  • Understand our business to be proactive and support functional executives, leaders, and managers in creating the best place to work
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and consultation regarding leadership and organisational management practices to develop leaders and support alignment with policies and procedures
  • Work closely with a variety of stakeholders to effectively manage concerns and issues raised through investigations, including assisting management with various associate relations issues like counselling, discipline, and performance improvement
  • Review and investigate all assigned associate complaints, concerns, disputes, claims of harassment, discrimination, and complaints of unfair treatment with priority given to the most egregious allegations
  • Facilitate the execution of annual performance and talent planning processes
  • Provide support to associates in various topics such as leaves and accommodations as well as associate concerns through multiple channels of communication (e.g. phone, email, chat, etc.)
  • Support HR management activities, including on-boarding/associate orientation activities, talent reviews, succession planning, etc.
  • Lead the execution of change management plans to encourage associates to embrace new philosophies, technologies, and company initiatives
  • Create strategies to identify and overcome barriers (i.e. facilitating conversations to identify root-cause issues of change blockers and coaching managers on appropriate tactics to mitigate or overcome issues)
  • Be a key contributor to any HR related projects including policy and processes reviews, succession planning and restructure plans

Profile

  • Proven HR Generalist experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of UK Employment Law
  • An ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy is crucial.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy or as part of a team.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to manage cross-functional relationships
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of all Human Resources functional areas
  • CIPD certification preferred
  • Strong prioritisation and organisational skills; solid attention to detail while performing multiple assignments in a dynamic environment
  • Experience with gender pay reporting and reorganisations
