A reputable distribution organisation with multiple sites across the UK. The role sits within the Support Hub aiding the wider HR function and over 18,000 employees.

Your new role
The role of HR Support Desk Assistant provides a high quality of transactional processing and query resolution for the fill employee lifecycle. You will be providing the first point of contact advisory service for employees and managers on all employment matters. The role requires consistent and timely resolution of their HR queries whilst demonstrating first class customer service.

You will have a sound understanding of company policies and be able to use initiative to implement solutions to continuously improve operations.

- Provide advice and guidance on policies, procedures, and systems to both colleagues and stakeholders to deliver a great employee experience.
- Updating and maintaining the system to ensure all data is up to date and accurate.
- Resolve queries through the ticketing system or over the phone.
- Work collaboratively with the payroll team to resolve colleague's queries.
- Update processes, knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures where required.
- Provide general HR administration support as required.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience working in HR or shared services will be extremely beneficial or relevant qualifications.

- Ability to manage and priorities personal workload to meet deadlines.
- Work collaboratively with the team and other departments.
- Experience of working at a similar level within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent IT skills and ability working with systems.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to follow process, procedure but be able to make decisions to resolve issues whilst staying within legislation.
