A leading accountancy and business advisory firm are looking for a People Development Manager, offering hybrid working and a salary of £60,000.

This role combines talent development and stakeholder management to ensure the business is supported in its focus on developing and nurturing innate talent in their people.

Responsibilities

Business Thinking

  • To lead on and support the People Development mission
  • Be an advocate and role model for the firm, role modelling the culture and values and helping evolve and embed a robust learning culture.
  • Lead on firm wide initiatives to identify learning and development interventions to upskill and maximise the value our people offer

Collaboration

  • Develop and grow solid relationships with key business stakeholders and be viewed as a trusted advisor, challenging, supporting and coaching as appropriate
  • Support People Development with firm wide initiatives to deliver learning and development interventions to upskill and maximise the value our people offer
  • Work with the other People Development Managers to share knowledge and best practice to deliver a consistent, exceptional service

Innovation and Change

  • Provide latest thinking and an innovative mindset to the rapidly changing and evolving area of People Development and bring this thinking and recommendation to the People Development strategy
  • Leverage knowledge and understanding of the firm to continuously define and refine the appropriate learning & development support required and offerings delivered and ensure the appropriate level of consistency between streams and regions
  • Analyse and interpret appropriate MI in order to present commercial and pragmatic recommendations and solutions to stakeholders

Communicating

  • Be an ambassador for the People Development strategy across the business, and actively seek to ensure it continues to address the required business needs
  • Be an advocate and proactively support the adoption of the 70:20:10 learning model across the firm
  • Actively champion learning offerings to ensure maximum engagement
  • Provide subject matter expertise for key people priorities and act as the key "go to" individual for guidance and support in all learning, development, talent & engagement matters
  • Actively champion the approach for firm wide and local initiatives and effectively challenge and influence key business stakeholders to work within these approaches
  • Take a learner centred approach of in all learning and development initiatives for maximum impact for our employees

Developing Self and Others

  • Represent the Firm in external networking and business events
  • Support the People Development team by delivering the Career Development Programmes and its Core Curriculum events
  • Actively provide feedback, as part of the 70:20:10 learning experience to encourage ongoing, meaningful conversations

Decision Making

  • Lead on the design, implementation and evaluation of firm wide frameworks and approaches within the Core Curriculum
  • Manage a number of projects at one time, prioritising tasks and updating stakeholders as required

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent Professional Qualification
  • Strong experience of stakeholder management
  • Experience of working with learning, development, engagement and talent strategies & frameworks
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret MI and make recommendations
  • Experience of facilitating/presenting at a senior level
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience of developing and working with social learning, communities of common practice and learning networks
  • Significant experience in dealing with and influencing a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, demonstrating clear ability to influence and have impact with credibility
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Collaboration skills
